Privacy Policy

Haira AI ("we", "our", or "the App") is developed by Ayyub Najafzade. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We are committed to minimizing data collection. Here is what we collect and what we do not:

            We do NOT collect: your name, email, phone number, location, device identifiers, biometric data, or any personal information. We do not have user accounts or registration.
        

Subscription data: If you subscribe to Haira Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Usage count: We store a daily transformation count locally on your device to enforce free-tier usage limits. This data is not sent to any server.

2. Photos and Image Data

When you use Haira AI to try on hairstyles, you can take a selfie with the camera or select a photo from your photo library. Here is how we handle your photos:

            Important: Haira AI does NOT perform face detection, face recognition, or facial feature extraction. We do not collect, store, or process any biometric data or face geometry. No face data (as defined by applicable privacy laws) is collected or created by the App.
        

How photos are processed: Your photo is resized and sent as a whole image (not facial features) to Google's Generative AI API (Gemini) along with a text prompt describing the desired hairstyle. The AI generates a new image showing you with the requested hairstyle. The prompt explicitly instructs the AI to preserve the person's identity and not modify facial features — only the hairstyle is changed.

What is sent to Google: Only the resized photo and a text prompt are sent to Google's API. No metadata, device identifiers, or personal information is included in the request.

Local storage: Both original and transformed images are stored locally on your device in the App's sandboxed storage. These images never leave your device except when sent to Google's API for processing. You can delete your transformation history at any time from within the App.

No face data collection: To be clear, the App does not use Apple's Vision framework, ARKit, Core Image face detection, or any other face detection/recognition technology. The photo is treated as a generic image — no facial landmarks, geometry, or biometric identifiers are extracted, stored, or transmitted.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

Google Generative AI API (Gemini): Your photo is sent to Google's servers for AI-powered hairstyle transformation. Google processes this data according to their Gemini API Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The image is processed in real-time for the purpose of generating the hairstyle transformation. Google provides industry-standard data protection measures for data submitted via their API, including encryption in transit and restricted use of API data.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

4. Data Storage and Security

All app data (transformation history, preferences, usage counts) is stored locally on your device.
Communication between the App and Google's API uses HTTPS encryption.
We do not maintain any database of user data or user photos.
Photos are compressed and resized before transmission to minimize data sent.

5. Data Retention

We do not retain any user data on our servers. Photos are processed in real-time by Google's API. Local data on your device persists until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App. When the App is deleted, all local data (including saved transformations and cached images) is removed.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, the App is safe for use by all ages.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

You can delete your transformation history within the App at any time.
You can delete all App data by uninstalling the App.
No data deletion request to us is necessary, as we hold no user data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
